Terms of Service for Parcelbound




Welcome to www.parcelbound.com. This website is owned and operated by Parcelbound LLC. By visiting our website and accessing the information, resources, services, products, and tools we provide, you understand and agree to accept and adhere to the following terms and conditions as stated in this policy (hereafter referred to as 'User Agreement'), along with the terms and conditions as stated in our Privacy Policy (please refer to the Privacy Policy section below for more information).  By using our website, you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions and must be over 18 years of age. 

This agreement is in effect as of December 11, 2011.

We reserve the right to change this User Agreement from time to time without notice. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this User Agreement periodically to familiarize yourself with any modifications. Your continued use of this site after such modifications will constitute acknowledgment and agreement of the modified terms and conditions.

Responsible Use and Conduct

By visiting our website and accessing the information, resources, services, products, and tools we provide for you, either directly or indirectly (hereafter referred to as 'Resources'), you agree to use these Resources only for the purposes intended as permitted by (a) the terms of this User Agreement, and (b) applicable laws, regulations and generally accepted online practices or guidelines.

Wherein, you understand that:

a. In order to access our Resources, you may be required to provide certain information about yourself (such as identification, contact details, etc.) as part of the registration process, or as part of your ability to use the Resources. You agree that any information you provide will always be accurate, correct, and up to date.

b. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login information associated with any account you use to access our Resources. Accordingly, you are responsible for all activities that occur under your account/s.

c. Accessing (or attempting to access) any of our Resources by any means other than through the means we provide, is strictly prohibited. You specifically agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of our Resources through any automated, unethical or unconventional means.

d. Engaging in any activity that disrupts or interferes with our Resources, including the servers and/or networks to which our Resources are located or connected, is strictly prohibited.

e. Attempting to copy, duplicate, reproduce, sell, trade, or resell our Resources is strictly prohibited.

f. You are solely responsible any consequences, losses, or damages that we may directly or indirectly incur or suffer due to any unauthorized activities conducted by you, as explained above, and may incur criminal or civil liability.

g. We may provide various open communication tools on our website, such as blog comments, blog posts, public chat, forums, message boards, newsgroups, product ratings and reviews, various social media services, etc. You understand that generally we do not pre-screen or monitor the content posted by users of these various communication tools, which means that if you choose to use these tools to submit any type of content to our website, then it is your personal responsibility to use these tools in a responsible and ethical manner. By posting information or otherwise using any open communication tools as mentioned, you agree that you will not upload, post, share, or otherwise distribute any content that:

i. Is illegal, threatening, defamatory, abusive, harassing, degrading, intimidating, fraudulent, deceptive, invasive, racist, or contains any type of suggestive, inappropriate, or explicit language;
ii. Infringes on any trademark, patent, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary right of any party;
iii. Contains any type of unauthorized or unsolicited advertising;
iiii. Impersonates any person or entity, including any www.parcelbound.com employees or representatives.

We have the right at our sole discretion to remove any content that, we feel in our judgment does not comply with this User Agreement, along with any content that we feel is otherwise offensive, harmful, objectionable, inaccurate, or violates any 3rd party copyrights or trademarks. We are not responsible for any delay or failure in removing such content. If you post content that we choose to remove, you hereby consent to such removal, and consent to waive any claim against us.

h. We do not assume any liability for any content posted by you or any other 3rd party users of our website. However, any content posted by you using any open communication tools on our website, provided that it doesn't violate or infringe on any 3rd party copyrights or trademarks, becomes the property of Parcelbound, and as such, gives us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, exclusive license to reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, publish, publicly display and/or distribute as we see fit. This only refers and applies to content posted via open communication tools as described, and does not refer to information that is provided as part of the registration process, necessary in order to use our Resources. All information provided as part of our registration process is covered by our privacy policy.

i. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parcelbound and its parent company and affiliates, and their directors, officers, managers, employees, donors, agents, and licensors, from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of this User Agreement or the failure to fulfill any obligations relating to your account incurred by you or any other person using your account. We reserve the right to take over the exclusive defense of any claim for which we are entitled to indemnification under this User Agreement. In such event, you shall provide us with such cooperation as is reasonably requested by us.


International and Domestic Shipping


The Parcelbound website is built to find and use the best possible shipping price for our customers.  Some of the shipping carriers that are used are DHL, FedEx, USPS, UPS, and others that are based on the shipping networks we have in place for each country.  


Parcelbound has accounts setup with each of the shipping carriers that we offer, and any customer using the Parcelbound services will need to use our courier contract accounts for all shipments.  Parcelbound will NOT accept sending shipments from any customer owned shipping carrier contract accounts.  If customers do not want to use the Parcelbound courier contract account network, shipments will then be returned to sender and any costs associated with this return will be charged to customer. 


Shipments have the option of being insured and the insurance cost will be included in the total shipping price.  However, customers have the choice to remove insurance from their shipments by going under their "Shipping Options" account page.


By agreeing to our terms policy; you authorize Parcelbound the right to open and inspect all contents of any packages received on your behalf.  We do this to prevent the shipment of "prohibited merchandise", and due to business procedures as a method to accurately "check-in" packages into the Parcelbound warehouse.


The services we provide is to mainly ship packages internationally.  Shipping to other existing USA shipping addresses is not allowed, with the only exception, if we are NOT able to ship the package/item internationally.  If you own an existing USA shipping address all package shipments should be sent directly to this USA address instead of your Parcelbound issued USA shipping address.


Personal Shopper Use

By using the personal shopper, you agree to the total "actual" order amount, and the personal shopper fee that is charged for providing this service to our customers.  If an item is not available from the US website the rest of the order will still be placed.  Any promotional coupons that are not valid will not be used and the order will still be placed without using the promotional coupon.  Customer's personal shopper orders will be placed at the current "item" prices at the time of the order, any item price increase/decrease changes that a seller makes on their website after a personal shopper order has been placed is out of our control and we do not provide additional services to reach out to the seller for price adjustments.  Due to security issues, order detail information from personal shopper orders are not shared with customers.


"Send a Package" Service 

Customers are responsible for the accuracy of shipments that are sent through this "Send a Package" service.  Any billing adjustments made by the shipping carrier due to inaccurate values entered by the customer in to the Parcelbound system, the customer will be responsible for these charges. 


Once a package has been picked up, the shipping carrier charges Parcelbound for the shipment of the package and no refunds can be given at this time.  If the shipping carrier ends up returning a shipment after it has been picked up; due to any issues arising, for example not including the correct shipping documentation, shipping prohibited items, or any other reason that would cause the shipping carrier to return the shipment, is solely the responsibility of the customer and no refunds will be issued by Parcelbound. 


Invite Friends

By using the "invite friends" feature customers can earn $15 USD for each referral that signs up for an account on Parcelbound.com.  All money that is earned using the "invite friends" feature can be used for any charges to your Parcelbound account.  Customers cannot withdraw any earnings from the "invite friends" feature; all earnings will be applied to any fees / charges that are due on the Parcelbound website.


Missing Packages Delivered To Parcelbound

Packages that have been delivered to Parcelbound but not checked in to a customer's account, Parcelbound must be notified within 15 days of the delivery date.  If the customer can show "proof of delivery", we will open up a search claim and if we are not able to locate this package a credit/refund will be given to the customer for the full amount of the order.

However, if it's been over 30 days since the delivery date we are not able to open up a search claim for this package.  It's the customer's sole responsibility to check which packages have not been checked in to their account and notify us promptly this way we have a greater chance of finding the package.

We are NOT able to submit a claim for missing packages if any of the information we required to be listed is missing from your shipping address.  All packages must always include the #PB- text and your issued Parcelbound suite # within your shipping address information.

Insurance claims for lost/missing packages delivered to Parcelbound,will be processed based on the customs declared value entered on the Parcelbound website, it's the customer's sole responsibility to ensure that the amount they purchased, and or, the current market value of the item(s) matches the declared amount listed under their account.  This applies to all declared values listed under the Add Item Information pop-up box, as well as, the Incoming Packages account page under the Order Total text box.  


Import and Export Documentation


Customers are responsible for the accuracy of all customs declarations and documentation and for all customs duties in the destination country. Any such duties or charges are in addition to the fees charged by Parcelbound for its package forwarding service.  Customers accounts will be immediately closed if evidence is found that customs declaration values have been under declared based on the actual order invoice price or current market value of the item(s). 


Shipments Returned Back to Parcelbound Warehouse


If the reason the shipment was returned back to the Parcelbound warehouse was due to a mistake that we made, we will not charge customers to ship the package back out again.  


If the reason the shipment was returned back to the Parcelbound warehouse was due to an issue with the customs declaration not being filled out appropriately by the customer, we would not be able to issue a refund for the shipment.  The reason being is after a shipment has been picked up and scanned by the shipping carrier they charge us for the shipping costs, regardless if they send the package back to our warehouse. This is why it is very important that customers fill out customs declarations with detailed and accurate information regarding the item names, item descriptions, quantity, item values, country of origin, and lithium battery information.


Shipping To Other Package Forwarders and Prepaid Shipping Labels


We do not provide shipping to our competitor's USA package forwarding addresses.  Pending shipment requests being sent to competitors will be cancelled and a new "international" shipping request must be submitted or you may also submit a shipment request to return this package back to the seller. 


In addition Parcelbound, does not accept prepaid labels for shipping; with the exception of returns to the original shipper or merchant.


Package Consolidation


Package consolidation will only be available on our "Platinum" membership plan FREE OF CHARGE; this service is not currently available on our "Silver" membership plan.  With a "Platinum" membership plan, customers have the option to consolidate their shipments to reduce and save on the total international shipping price. 


Package consolidation will be performed as best as we can using the resources and shipping supplies on hand; depending on the number of items or dimensions (length x width x height) of items.  It is possible that consolidation requests can be put in multiple packages due to oddly shaped items as well as a high number of items within a box.  If these conditions are met then we will consolidate these items as best as we can.


Shipping Carrier Eligibility


Depending on the box size, at times a shipping carrier will show as an eligible shipping option. However, at the time of processing the shipment if the package is NOT able to be sent using the selected shipping carrier, a different shipping carrier that is eligible witll be selected.  Parcelbound will contact the customer to let them know that the original selected shipping carrier was not able to be used due to package size requirements.  


Storage Fees


Depending on your membership plan, you will be allowed a certain number of days for FREE storage. 

However, once your packages are over the free storage period; you will start to accumulate storage fees "per each box" that is within your inventory.  To avoid any storage fees, customers must submit a shipment request this way we can ship your package and it will no longer be listed within your inventory. 

If your account becomes "Past Due" you will have an opportunity to pay any past due storage fees to bring your account back to "Active" status.  However, failure to pay your past due balance will make your account "Declined".  Once your account has been declined, your packages will be treated as "Abandoned Packages" per our Terms Policy.

Abandoned Packages


Packages will be considered abandoned when a customer has a "past due" account with delinquent charges still owed for more than 30 days.  Customers need to make arrangements to either pay delinquent charges or ship any existing packages that have been in the warehouse longer than 30 days.  Failure to pay past due balance where an account is then "declined", grants Parcelbound full rights over the package; in order to be sold with the proceeds donated to charity, destroyed, or otherwise disposed of in a legal and environmentally compliant manner. 


As a Parcelbound customer you are responsible to NOT let your account become "past due" / "declined" and accumulate delinquent charges.  It is your responsibility to ship out packages in a timely manner with an "active" account to avoid your packages being abandoned.


Fraudulent Orders


Packages received due to unlawful use of any Parcelbound shipping carrier account numbers and that have NOT been recorded within our Parcelbound system will be immediately "discarded".  These "fraudulent" packages do NOT follow any of our other policies, including but not limited to our Abandoned Packages, because we do not classify these type of packages as "abandoned" due to being shipped "fraudulently". 


Credit Card Verification


To ensure the highest level of security to our customers; sensitive credit card information is not stored in our local database, but is stored securely on a certified PCI DSS compliant servers.


To verify new credit cards that are added on Parcelbound; a random dollar amount will be charged to your credit card.  However, this random dollar amount will be refunded after 5 business days back to your credit card account.  The random amount charged must be entered in on the Parcelbound website before your credit card is set to verified status.


Membership / Billing Cycle Changes


As a Parcelbound customer you have the option to change your membership or billing cycle at any time.  Please be aware that any changes to your account will take effect immediately, and if an amount is due it will be charged at the time the change is submitted on your account.


When changing your membership plan, a "membership change fee" is applied that must be agreet to before you are allowed to submit this change.  This "membership change fee" is in place to minimize customers taking advantage of our Platinum shipping rates by changing your membership plan frequently.


All "Platinum" membership plan fees will be pre-paid for the billing cycle (monthly / annually) you have selected as a recurring membership fee.  As a "Platinum" member depending on your billing cycle (monthly / annually), you will receive a membership renewal email letting you know when your upcoming membership plan fee is due and will be charged to your account.  Delinquent payments of your billing cycle membership plan will continue to be attempted and after numerous attempts if your payment continues to fail your account will be "Declined" and any inventory will be discarded or donated.


All membership plans are set to be automatically renewed.  You will receive an upcoming email notification about this renewal; so if you do not want to proceed with renewing your membership plan, please contact this way we can close your account instead.  Agreeing to the Parcelbound terms policy gives us the right to automatically renew memberships as they are up for renewal for the next month/year.  It's the customers responsibility to downgrade their account to our "Silver" membership plan if they are not currently using the Parcelbound services under their current "Platinum" membership plan.


Please note, you may receive a renewal notification email for our "Silver" membership; however, this membership plan is free and this email just serves as a notification receipt for your "Silver" membership plan continuing for next year.  No charges are charged to your credit card when the "Silver" membership plan renews.


Note:  The billing cycle cannot be changed on "Silver" membership plans; since this membership is free therefore a billing cycle is not needed.


Your privacy is very important to us, which is why we've created a separate Privacy Policy in order to explain in detail how we collect, manage, process, secure, and store your private information. Limitation of Warranties

By using our website, you understand and agree that all Resources we provide are "as is" and "as available". This means that we do not represent or warrant to you that:
i) the use of our Resources will meet your needs or requirements.
ii) the use of our Resources will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free from errors.
iii) the information obtained by using our Resources will be accurate or reliable, and
iv) any defects in the operation or functionality of any Resources we provide will be repaired or corrected.

Furthermore, you understand and agree that:

v) any content downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of our Resources is done at your own discretion and risk, and that you are solely responsible for any damage to your computer or other devices for any loss of data that may result from the download of such content.
vi) no information or advice, whether expressed, implied, oral or written, obtained by you from Parcelbound or through any Resources we provide shall create any warranty, guarantee, or conditions of any kind, except for those expressly outlined in this User Agreement.

Limitation of Liability

In conjunction with the Limitation of Warranties as explained above, you expressly understand and agree that any claim against us shall be limited to the amount you paid, if any, for use of products and/or services. Parcelbound will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary loss or damages which may be incurred by you as a result of using our Resources, or as a result of any changes, data loss or corruption, cancellation, loss of access, or downtime to the full extent that applicable limitation of liability laws apply.


All content and materials available on www.parcelbound.com, including but not limited to text, graphics, website name, code, images and logos are the intellectual property of Parcelbound, and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. Any inappropriate use, including but not limited to the reproduction, distribution, display or transmission of any content on this site is strictly prohibited, unless specifically authorized by Parcelbound.

Termination of Use

You agree that we may, at our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your access to all or part of our website and Resources with or without notice and for any reason, including, without limitation, breach of this User Agreement. Any suspected illegal, fraudulent or abusive activity will be grounds for terminating your relationship and may be referred to appropriate law enforcement authorities. Upon suspension or termination, your right to use the Resources we provide will immediately cease, and we reserve the right to remove or delete any information that you may have on file with us, including any account or login information.

Parcelbound cooperates with all with all local, state and federal agencies and will share any and all information about the customer, customer shipments, and  customer communications without any notice to the customer.  The customer specifically indemnifies and holds harmless Parcelbound from any and all liability, claims, damages, losses or causes of actions arising from the release of such information regarding the customer to any person, or local, state or federal agency.  Further, the customer specifically releases Parcelbound, its owners, affiliates, subsidiaries, parents, shareholders, members, successors, assigns, representatives, franchisees, officers, directors, agents, attorneys, agents, independent contractors and employees and anyone acting on its behalf from any and all liability arising from either the disclosure of any information about the customer or its shipments made to law enforcement or governmental agencies, or from the confiscation or seizure by Parcelbound and/or its affiliates or shippers, or governmental or law enforcement agencies of any suspected fraudulent packages or similar material.

Customers that perform any fraudulent activity will NOT receive any refunds on membership fees, sign up fees, shipment fees, or "credit on account" deposits, which will be NON-REFUNDABLE!  These funds will be used directly towards the return shipping costs of sending the fraudulent packages received back to the US merchant sellers that they were purchased from.


Parcelbound has a zero tolerance fraud policy and customers abusing our services will be declined and reported to the proper authorities!


New Customer Accounts 

Due to the nature of our business we experience customers taking advantage of our service to use for fraudulent activity.  If we suspect customer accounts performing these activities we have the right to "hold" your shipments until we can verify that your orders are valid.  

New customers that order large ticket items with less than 5 shipments with Parcelbound, will be reviewed by our Accounts Team to make sure these orders are valid and are not fraudulent.  


Declined Customer Accounts 

Customer accounts that have been declined, regardless of the reason, may NOT open new customer accounts under another email address.  If we become aware of this, your account will be immediately declined and any packages that are within the warehouse will either be discarded, refused, or sent back to the seller.


Governing Law

This website is controlled by Parcelbound from our offices located in the state of New Jersey, USA. It can be accessed by most countries around the world. As each country has laws that may differ from those of New Jersey, by accessing our website, you agree that the statutes and laws of New Jersey, without regard to the conflict of laws and the United Nations Convention on the International Sales of Goods, will apply to all matters relating to the use of this website and the purchase of any products or services through this site.

Furthermore, any action to enforce this User Agreement shall be brought in the federal or state courts located in USA, New Jersey You hereby agree to personal jurisdiction by such courts, and waive any jurisdictional, venue, or inconvenient forum objections to such courts.
